The NSW Department of Education is working closely with NSW Health in responding to COVID-19 cases and acts on the expert advice of NSW Health.
We would like to confirm a community member in our school has tested positive for COVID-19 (coronavirus). The department has been advised by NSW Health the person was not infectious while at the school.
The school development day will proceed as planned for staff only on Monday 20 July.
School will resume for students on Tuesday, 21 July as planned.
We would like to reassure you the school will take all required action in accordance with advice from NSW Health on a confirmed case of COVID-19 where there has been an impact on our school.
In this case there is no action required, it is a personal matter for those involved and they will be supported directly by NSW Health. We are sure you will join us in wishing the community member a quick recovery.
People assessed as being a close contact of the community member concerned will be contacted by NSW Health directly and given appropriate advice. NSW Health have processes in place to determine those who are a close contact.
